Why your workspace is on a private network
Your workspace holds your whole business — inventory, buyer details, marketplace logins. So we never put it on the public internet: there is no address for anyone to find, scan or attack. Instead it lives on your own private network, powered by Tailscale, a free app. Once you’re signed in, your workspace opens from any of your devices, anywhere, while staying invisible to everyone else — an office network that travels with you.
Can’t install apps on your devices? There is a public web address tier with mandatory two-factor sign-in instead.
Creating your account
Tailscale has no email signup. At tailscale.com choose Sign up with Google (or Microsoft, GitHub, Apple) using the identity that owns the email you gave at onboarding. It’s free for personal use and takes a minute.
Installing it
- Windows / Mac: download from tailscale.com, install, sign in with the same identity, and leave it running in the tray / menu bar.
- iPhone / Android: install the Tailscale app from the App Store or Play Store, sign in with the same identity, and keep its VPN toggle on. (It only carries traffic to your private network — your normal browsing is untouched.)
Accepting your invite
The invite (on your status page, and emailed by Tailscale) adds your workspace’s machine to your Tailscale account. Open the link, sign in if asked, and accept. From then on, every device signed in to that account can open your workspace address — nothing to accept again per device.
Teammates
Each teammate needs their own Tailscale invite for network access, plus their own user account inside the workspace (created under Users by your admin). Contact us and we’ll issue additional network invites for your team.
If the workspace won’t load
- Is the Tailscale app running on this device, with the VPN toggle on?
- Are you signed in to the same Tailscale identity that accepted the invite?
